to Special Friends North Tarrant County Special Olympics
Volleyball Competitions - SMU Tournament: Classifications for SMU are tentatively scheduled for 11/10 at 6PM and competition at SMU, tentatively on 11/19. Area 11 Tournament: Classifications and Competition at Fort Worth Christian on 12/4.
Party Time! Thursday, Dec. 15th: The Knights of Columbus will host their annual Christmas Party at 1319 Brown Trail, Bedford, from 6:30 – 9:00 pm on Thursday, December 15th. Parents are also invited. Please RSVP to aeglintine@hotmail.com or 817-354-6354. The Knights have asked for a list of those coming so that Santa Claus can be prepared. RSVP’s must be in by December 4th. NO LATE RSVP’s WILL BE ACCEPTED! Please provide the following information in your RSVP message: Name of athlete and the total number that will be coming (including athlete).
Bingo: Bingo will begin again at the Knights of Columbus Hall in January on the third Thursday of each month from 6:30 - 8 pm. (The third Thursday of January 2012 is the 19th)
SOTX Area 11 Christmas Village: Dec. 3rd at Ft. Worth Christian School 1 - 3:30pm.
Basketball: Basketball practice starts on Wednesday, Jan. 4th at Meadow Creek Elementary, 3001 Harwood Rd. in Bedford. Please attend the same practice (first or second) that you attended last year. New athletes are asked to come to the 6:00 practice for evaluation and placement. Practices (Note new times!): Wednesdays 6-7:30 & 7:45-9:15 Saturdays 8:45 -10:15am & 10:30-noon.
Basketball Competitions: Area 11 Competition: 3/3/12 at North Crowley High School. Classifications: 2/22/12 at Arlington Martin High School.
Cycling & Track: Cycling & track will begin in March.

Friends is an informal organization of people with intellectual
disabilities who enjoy having fun! The people in Special
Friends participate in organizations such as Special Olympics, Knights
of Columbus Bingo, and other activities.
The
purpose of this site is to share information among Special Friends
participants and to celebrate their accomplishments and successes by
